A: With today's fast paced lifestyles, many brides have a very busy career and/or personal life. And with so many details involved in planning a wedding, it can become stressful and hectic rather than exciting and romantic. A wedding coordinator can save you time and frustration by guiding you through every step in the process, or just managing the wedding day for you. I know who to call and what to say to ensure that right vendors are hired at the best prices while making sure that no detail is overlooked. The experience and planning alone can cover the cost of hiring a wedding coordinator.
Q: Why do I need a wedding coordinator on my wedding day?
A: You want your family, friends and bridesmaids to feel special, relax and enjoy your wedding with you. You don't want them to be stressing over the table decorations, whether or not the cake has arrived on time, or if the place cards have been properly alphabetized. By hiring a wedding coordinator, you and your family can bask in the excitement and glow of the day, and not worry about what's next!
Q: Why do you charge a flat fee versus a percentage?
A: Alluring Events by Design charges a flat fee based on the services that you request. I believe that charging a percentage of the overall budget is contrary to the goal of negotiating great prices and services for you. After all you are paying for my expertise and knowledge, and basing that on what you buy just doesn't make sense to me.
Q: I really enjoy the planning process and have been looking forward to it. I am afraid that a coordinator will take over and do everything for me?
A: Please do not be concerned. I am here to offer guidance, and to make sure that your vision (not mine) is created. With my knowledge of the wedding industry and relationship with different vendors, I can save you substantial amounts of time and stress! At our intial meeting we can discuss your goals and exactly what you want me to do. Remember I can do as little of as much as you want. I want to help you create the wedding of your dreams!!
Q: My wedding location/hotel already provides a catering manager and onsite coordinator, why do I need another one?
A: While it is wonderful that the location/hotel provides a coordinator, usually they only handle the tasks related to their specific venue and the service of the food. Often they ar not responsible in directing your wedding ceremony or rehearsal, or managing the special touches you desire throughout your celebration. What I offer is a more personal detailed understanding of your plans. I coordinate not only with the food services, but with all of your vendors. My staff and I make sure that your decorations are in place, that all of the services are being delivered according to their contracts, that each person looks perfect before walking down the isle, and that every detail has been checked and double checked.
